Dr Neha Berlia is the Co-Promoter and Member of the Senior Management Board of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, an international conglomerate of businesses with major interests in Education, Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences and Real Estate.

Dr Berlia is a well-known educational leader and serves as the Joint Secretary of Apeejay Education which is responsible for overseeing 26 Educational Institutions (Schools & Higher Education) and the Apeejay Stya University, collectively comprising over 5000 Educators & Staff Members and over 40,000 Students. Dr Neha Berlia is also Co-Founder & Pro Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University.

Presently, Dr Berlia is Co-Chair, Education Committee of the apex industry chamber – PHDCCI. She was also the Co-Chair of ASSOCHAM National Council on Real Estate & Urban Development. She is an active member of the Rotary Club in Delhi and has made strides in Rotary of Delhi Premier.

She is a graduate in Economics from Stanford University, USA and holds a Master’s degree in Management & Banking from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Her master’s thesis was on “BRIC Countries on the Rise: Growth Opportunities in the Indian Bank Lending Industry.” She did her PhD (doctorate) in Finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland on “Commodity Market Internationalization and Portfolio Optimization: An Empirical Study.” In her thesis, she dwelt on the information transmission between international and Indian commodities futures markets: an empirical study for bullion and metals. She also examined the price discovery and volatility spill-overs of crude oil in globally linked commodity markets and asset portfolio optimization using analytical hierarchy process and multi-choice goal programming.

She is currently pursuing the Owner-President Management (OPM) program at Harvard Business School.

Dr Berlia has been bestowed with numerous awards and accolades. She was recently conferred with the “Edu Visionary Leader of the Year 2022” award during The Education Summit, Mumbai held in November 2022. Dr Berlia has been conferred with the prestigious 2021 Innovative Leader Award at the 4th Edition of the Business Leader of the Year conference, Mumbai.

Additionally, Dr Berlia is an Indian National Medalist athlete and an award-winning Indian classical musician, as well as a passionate philanthropist.
